About Us

Who we are
We are an independent church which
is a member of the Evangelical Alliance. Our founding traditions drew on the
open Brethren but we are not affiliated to any formal denomination. We remain
keen to draw on the teaching that all believers are equal in faith and worship
and encourage all members to participate in the life of the church. We also
recognise the value of paid leadership and the need to modify our practices
according to the needs of our society. We continue to recognise the authority
of the Bible and encourage all members to value the Bible highly. We are
willing to work with any church from any denomination provided they share a
common commitment to the truth of the Bible and sharing the Gospel.
Our dream
To be a loving Christian community,
honouring God,
serving
our neighbourhood and
sharing our faith.
Our Neighbourhood
We particularly want
to serve the areas mapped below.
(Many of the fellowship live outside this area and we continue to welcome
everyone wherever they live)

What we believe
1 The divine inspiration, authority and sufficiency of the Bible, the Word of God.
2 The unity of the Godhead in the person of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3 That the Son of God truly became man, Jesus conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
4 That his death was a substitutionary sacrifice for the putting away of sins
and the sole ground for the forgiveness of sins.
5 That he was raised from the dead, is alive and ascended to heaven
6 That he will come back to earth again for his believing church comprising of all who have put their trust in him no matter what name they choose to be called.
7 That a relationship with God can only be through faith and acceptance of his son Jesus Christ as Saviour.
8 That the gifts of the Holy Spirit are integral to our life and ministry.
9 That the Scriptures teach believers baptism by immersion.
10 That communion (remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus) should be regularly celebrated
11 That the individual has a duty to develop a deeper relationship with God and has a responsibility for their own spiritual growth and development.
12 That we have been commanded, by Jesus Christ, to “Go and make disciples.”
